The week of human rights in Brno
The seventh annual festival of Human Rights Week was held from 7th to 12th December 2009 in Brno.
The League of Human Rights prepared three practical workshops for this festival.
On Monday the 7th, December at 3 pm
IS THE CZECH EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM ABLE TO PROVIDE THE RUGHT TO EDUCATION TO ALL CHILDREN?
The Faculty of Education MU, Poříčí 31, Department of Social Education, Room 408
The workshop consisted of a discussion with lawyer and coordinator, Lucie Obrovská and educator, Monika Tannenbergerová concerning the Fair School Project. This workshop offered insight into the problems of integration in the current educational system.

LEGAL MINIMUM IN CONTACT WITH POLICE

An interactive workshop where participants learned from our lawyers, Zuzana Candigliota and Kristýna Foukalová, about their rights if they come in contact with the police..
On Wednesday the 9th, December at 4:40 pm
HOW TO BE A patient in the CR and retain human dignity
The Faculty of Science MU, Veveří 70, Room 025
Our three lawyers, Michaela Kopalová, Kateřina Červená and Zuzana Candigliota shared information about the theory and practice of medicine law. Participants learned that rights of patients are more than just regulatory fees.
