Participate in public conference on active parenting
We invite all parents and those interested in issues of pregnancy, childbirth and care of the family to a public conference entitled Active Parenting. It will be held on Saturday 24th October 2009 at the Faculty of Social Studies in Brno.
The program begins at 9:30 am and will involve lectures, seminars, workshops, practical demonstrations and film screenings. The conference also offers a seminar by the League entitled “Právní výbavička pro rodiče“, which will run from 4 to 5 pm. Through the story of Mrs. Růžena, our lawyers from the League will share with you their experiences with their client’s birthing plan, choosing the place of birth, compulsory vaccination and the common residence of parents and children in hospital. They will also present their personal experiences. Come and ask for your own rights, or just contribute by your own experience.
The program also includes other interesting topics, such as the promotion of natural birth in the hospital, different views on vaccination, care of children in other cultures, active fatherhood, ecotourism - with your family on the way, and healthy changing of a baby and much more.
The event will take place at the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University in Brno, Joštova 10. It is organized by Nesehnutí and Brána k dětem in collaboration with the Department of Environmental Studies and Gender center of the faculty. Admission is 100 - or 150 in advance - on the day of the event. Throughout the day there will be a children's corner with the supervision.
