Law students provide online counselling
For over a year, The League of Human Rights has been providing medical patients with internet legal counselling; a pioneering legal advice service for patients with grievances within the medical sphere. The League has now initiated a new scheme, allowing exceptional Law students to participate in providing patients counselling online, and thus allowing them to make a contribution in the field of medical ethics and human rights.
Since November 2007, four law students have been answering patient's online queries, under the supervision of Counselling coordinator, Michaela Kopalová. They are: Zuzana Candigliota, Klára Snášelová and Andrea Tkáčová from Law Faculty of Masaryk University; and Regina Skokanová, a student of Law Faculty of Palacký University in
The online counselling provides these future lawyers with a great opportunity to employ their freshly gained legal knowledge, and apply it to help clients seek redress for breaches of their human rights.
