David Zahumenský: Chair

David Zahumenský is a LIGA chair and legal director. He became a volunteer for LIGA in 2003. Two years later the Mental Disability Advocacy Center (MDAC), an international non-governmental organisation chose him to work on their projects with LIGA. He was promoting rights of persons with intellectual and psycho-social disabilities for 3 years. Since the beginning of 2005, he has acted as Editor-in-Chief for the online version of the public interest law magazine Via Iuris. Since 2007 he is a member of Governmental Committee on Human Rights and Biomedicine.
David is dealing with human rights in health care system. He promotes respect to patient's informed consent and general change of approach towards patients. Before the health care law was changed, he succeded in reaching the first court decision granting a patient copy of her medical records in 2006.
Zuzana Candigliota: Lawyer

Zuzana Candigliota started her cooperation with Liga as a volunteer in the legal advisory centre for patients in 2007 after she had participated in the “School of Human Rights”. Currently she works at Liga as a lawyer on the Fair Hospital project. She focuses on human rights in health care, especially promotion of the right to self-determination and free will in health care delivery, mainly in the areas of obstetrics and compulsory vaccination of minors. She is about to finish her studies at the Faculty of Law of the Masaryk University in Brno.
Kateřina Červená: Lawyer

Kateřina Červená has graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, where she currently pursues her doctoral studies of administrative law. During her studies she dealt with environmental cases at the legal advisory center of the Ecological Legal Service as a volunteer.
Since August 2008 she has been working at Liga on the Fair Hospital project.
Katarína Krahulová: Pedagogue
Katarína Krahulová graduated at the Faculty of Education at Palacký University in Olomouc (Czech Republic). Currently she continues with doctoral studies of Education. From 2008 to 2010 she worked as a social worker in activating social services for families with children in non-profit organization in Vyškov. During last three years she is cooperating with Academy of Third Age at Karel Dvořáček Library in Vyškov. Here she leads a seminar Philosophy of Age. Since May 2010 she is working in Liga as a pedagogue of Fair School project and related activities.

Magda Kucharičová: PR manager

Magda Kucharičová graduated in sociology, media studies and journalism at the Faculty of Social Studies of the Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. She worked as a documentarist and a video curator at the Museum of Roma culture. Then she cooperated for over a year with Liga as a photographer and in January 2008 she accepted the position of Liga‘s PR manager. )
Magda writes press releases, communicates with media and prepares promotion materials of the organization. She also takes part in the creation and administration of Liga’s web page as well as web pages of its two projects – Fair School and Fair Hospital.
Lenka Zielinová: Financial director

Lenka Zelinová graduated from the School of Business Administration of the Silesian University in Opava, Czech Republic with specialization in public economics and administration. She has been working with Liga since December 2007 and is responsible for accounting, project budgeting, financial control and reporting.
Kateřina Mášová: Office manager

Katka Mášová has been working with Liga since December 2007 as office manager. She participates in realization of projects, arranges stays of interns from abroad, communicates with other organizations and institutions and is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the office.
Maroš Matiaško: Coordinator, Lawyer

Maroš Matiaško has been working as a lawyer with Mental Disability Advocacy Center (MDAC) and Liga since March 2008. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech Republic in 2007 and studied for one semester at the School of Law of the Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Currently he is studying psychology and social work at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Masaryk University in Brno. From 2007 he worked as a lawyer in SOZE, a Czech NGO, where he provided legal aid to refugees, and he also volunteered at Liga. In 2007/2008 Maroš participated in a psychological research related to the personality of persistent offenders and was gathering data across Czech prisons.
At Liga he specializes on rights of persons with mental disabilities. Within a joint project of Liga and MDAC he participates in strategic litigation and advocacy regarding guardianship, detention proceedings and the transformation of institutional care.
